Prayer times, fasting times and calendar dates for every tradition
Religious calendars run on the Sun and the Moon, so the same date or prayer time differs from city to city. These free tools calculate them for your location, in your browser, and are checked against official published timetables. Prayer times gives Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha with every major calculation method and both Asr schools, and sehri and iftar times prints a Ramadan timetable for your city. The Hijri date converter works in both directions with the Umm al-Qura and tabular calendars.
For other traditions, Shabbat candle-lighting times and the Hebrew date converter cover the Jewish calendar, including bar and bat mitzvah dates, and the Easter date calculator gives Western and Orthodox Easter with the movable feasts. The Bible reading plan generator builds a printable plan for any start date and pace.
Regional calendars are here too: the Chinese lunar calendar converter built from the Hong Kong Observatory tables, the lunar age calculator for Chinese and Korean age, the Persian (Solar Hijri) converter, the Nepali date converter for Bikram Sambat and the Tamil calendar with festival dates.

How the times are checked

- Local practice comes first. Calculated times are a guide. Moon sighting, local custom and your mosque, synagogue, church or temple can move a date or time, so follow your local authority.
Faith & Calendars: frequently asked questions
Are these tools free?
Yes. They are free, need no account and run in your browser. Your location is used only on your device.
Which prayer time method should I choose?
Leave it on automatic and the page picks the method most used in your country, or choose the one your local mosque follows. The difference between methods is mainly the Sun angle used for Fajr and Isha.
Why does my mosque show a slightly different time?
Mosques often add safety minutes, round times or use a slightly different method. You can add per-prayer adjustments on the prayer times page to match your local timetable.
Why can Ramadan or Eid start a day earlier or later?
The Hijri month begins with the sighting of the new crescent, which can differ by country. Calculated calendars such as Umm al-Qura are a forecast, so each page lets you shift the start by a day.
Which calendars are covered?
Islamic (Hijri), Jewish (Hebrew), Christian (Easter and the church year), Chinese lunisolar, Korean age, Persian Solar Hijri, Nepali Bikram Sambat and Tamil. The Hindu panchang and Ekadashi tools are in the astrology sector.
