Quotations, receipts, salary slips and HR letters, ready to send
A small business runs on paperwork that has to look professional and add up correctly. These free business tools produce the documents you need most, as clean PDFs, without a subscription or an accounting package. Price a job with the quotation generator or a rougher estimate, confirm an advance with a proforma invoice, order stock with a purchase order, then bill with the invoice generator and acknowledge payment with a receipt. Tenants claiming HRA can create a year of rent receipts in one file.
For staff, the salary slip generator builds monthly payslips with PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS, and the HR letter generators draft offer, appointment, increment, promotion and experience letters in Indian, US or UK style, with a Word copy for editing. HR calculators work out leave balances and encashment, notice period dates, a full payroll run, the true cost of an employee and a sustainable freelance rate.
Shop owners, consultants, start-up founders, HR executives and freelancers use these pages to get a document out the same day. Everything is filled in and generated in your browser, so salaries, bank details and customer addresses never reach a server, and your saved details stay on your own device.
Which document do you need?
- Quotation or estimate. A quotation is a firm price the customer can accept; an estimate is an approximate figure that may change once the work is scoped.
- Proforma or tax invoice. A proforma invoice is a preliminary bill for an advance or a customs declaration and is not a demand for payment in the accounts. The tax invoice is the final bill once goods or services are supplied.
- Purchase order. Sent by the buyer to the seller to place an order; once accepted it fixes the items, prices and delivery terms.
- Receipt. Confirms that money has been received. It is what a customer keeps as proof of payment, separate from the invoice that asked for it.
- Salary slip. The monthly statement of earnings and deductions an employee needs for loans, rental agreements, visas and tax returns.
Getting the paperwork right
- Number documents in one unbroken series (QT-001, QT-002 …) and never reuse a number; auditors and GST rules expect a traceable sequence.
- For GST invoices in India, show your GSTIN, the customer’s GSTIN where they have one, the HSN or SAC code and place of supply, and split tax into CGST and SGST for sales within your state or IGST across states.
- Rent receipts for an HRA claim need the landlord’s PAN when rent in the year is above ₹1,00,000; the rent receipt generator checks this for you.
- HR letters are drafts. Check notice periods, probation and pay against the employee’s contract, your company policy and local employment law before signing.
- Save each finished PDF and keep a copy. The tools remember your business details on this device only, so a cleared browser or another computer starts blank.
Business & HR: frequently asked questions
Are these business documents legally valid?
A quotation, invoice, receipt or letter is valid because of what it says and who issues it, not because of the software that made it. These templates include the fields commonly required, such as GSTIN, HSN or SAC codes and signatures, but check any legal or tax requirement that applies to your business.
Can I add my logo and signature?
Yes. Upload a logo and a photo or scan of your signature, and they are placed on the PDF. They stay on your device, and the form autosaves so they are still there next time you open the page in this browser.
Is my company and salary data safe?
Yes. Every document is generated in your browser and nothing you type is uploaded. Saved details are kept in your browser’s local storage on this device only.
Can I make salary slips for many employees at once?
Yes. The salary slip and HR letter generators accept a CSV file with one row per employee and produce a ZIP of PDFs, one per person.
Do the HR tools follow Indian labour codes?
The salary and HR calculators use the Indian rules in force in October 2026, including the labour codes in force since 21 November 2025, EPF, ESI and professional tax, and each page names its sources and the date they were checked. US and UK letter formats are included for general use.
Can I edit a letter after generating it?
Yes. Edit any field and the preview updates at once. The HR letter generators also export a Word file for changes the form does not cover.
