A passport fee calculator for India, the US and the UK

This free passport fee calculator shows what a passport costs before you book: for India, the Passport Seva fee for a fresh passport or a reissue, normal or Tatkaal, 36 or 60 pages, for adults and minors, and for a passport in place of a lost or damaged one — at the rates in force from 1 July 2026. It also covers the United States and the United Kingdom.

Pick the options and the fee updates at once, with a breakdown, the whole fee table for that applicant, and notes on validity and discounts. Every figure comes from the government’s own fee schedule, with its date printed below the table. It is a planning aid, not official advice — the fee shown when you pay is the one that counts.

    Passport Fee Calculator FAQ

What is the passport fee in India in 2026?

From 1 July 2026, a fresh or reissued 36-page adult passport costs ₹2,500 (normal) or ₹5,000 (Tatkaal); 60 pages cost ₹3,500 or ₹6,000. This passport fee calculator applies the schedule in G.S.R. 516(E).

How much is the passport renewal fee?

In India a renewal is a reissue: ₹2,500 for 36 pages or ₹3,500 for 60, and ₹5,000 or ₹6,000 under Tatkaal. In the US an adult renewal is $130; in the UK it is £102 online.

What is the passport fee for a minor?

In India ₹1,750 for a minor’s 36-page passport (₹4,250 Tatkaal), with 10% off a fresh application for a child up to 8. In the US $100 + $35; in the UK £66.50 online.

Is the Tatkaal fee extra on top of the normal fee?

No. The Tatkaal fee in Schedule IV includes the normal fee — ₹5,000 is the whole amount for a 36-page adult passport.

    Who gets the 10% discount?

Fresh applications (not reissues) for children up to 8 years and senior citizens above 60, under note 3 of Schedule IV.

Why does the portal show a different amount?

The fee is set by the rules in force on the day you pay, and missions abroad may add local charges. Always check the official fee screen before paying.
