Check addresses, convert units and do the maths, offline

Cryptocurrency has no customer service desk: a payment to a mistyped address is gone, and a seed phrase pasted into the wrong website empties a wallet. These free crypto tools are built for careful users. The wallet address validator checks that a Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Solana or other address is correctly formed and which network it belongs to before you send; the Ethereum address checksum tool converts an address to its EIP-55 mixed-case form and verifies one you have been given; and the ENS name normalizer applies the ENSIP-15 rules so you can see whether a .eth name contains look-alike characters.

Unit conversions trip up even experienced users. The gwei to ETH converter turns gas prices into ether and a fiat estimate, the satoshi to BTC converter works in the other direction for Bitcoin, and the token unit converter handles any ERC-20 token by its decimals, so a raw balance of 1500000 with six decimals reads as 1.5. Data tools include the contract ABI decoder, which turns transaction input data into a readable function call and arguments, and the NFT metadata viewer, which displays the JSON and image behind a token.

All of these run in your browser with nothing sent to a server. The address checks, checksums and unit maths need no network at all and can be used with the connection switched off. None of the calculators is investment advice; they show arithmetic on the numbers you give them, and crypto assets can lose value quickly.

Calculators for planning

  • Regular buying. The DCA calculator shows what a fixed amount bought at regular intervals would have cost on average, using prices you enter or paste, and compares it with a single purchase. Past prices say nothing about future ones.
  • Liquidity pools. The impermanent loss calculator works out how a pool position compares with simply holding the two assets after a price change, before and after fees.
  • Staking. The staking rewards calculator compounds a stake at the rate and frequency you enter, and shows how much of the result depends on the rate assumption.
  • Profit and halving. The crypto profit calculator includes fees in a buy-and-sell result, and the Bitcoin halving countdown estimates the next halving date from the current block height and average block time.

Security practices these tools assume

  • Never type a real seed phrase into any website, including this one. The BIP39 mnemonic checker validates word spelling and the checksum of a phrase so you can test a practice phrase or a single doubtful word; the page repeats this warning and is designed to be used offline for anything sensitive.
  • Validate the address, then verify it another way. A valid format only proves the address is well-formed, not that it belongs to the person you think.
  • Send a small test amount first for any new address, and check the network: an address that is valid on Ethereum is also valid on other EVM chains, which is where tokens go missing.
  • Decode the transaction before you sign it. The ABI decoder shows what a contract call actually does, which is the only way to know what “Confirm” in a wallet pop-up means.
  • The hash generator and Bitcoin QR generator are also here: hash a file to check a wallet download, and make a payment QR code from an address and amount.

Crypto & Web3: frequently asked questions

Is it safe to paste a wallet address here?

Yes. A public address is designed to be shared, and the validator checks it in your browser without sending it anywhere. Private keys and seed phrases are different: never paste a real one into any website.

Why does the BIP39 checker exist if I should never enter a seed phrase?

To check a practice phrase, a single word you cannot read on a backup, or a phrase you have just generated offline on an air-gapped machine. The page works with the network off, states the risk plainly, and keeps nothing.

What does the EIP-55 checksum do?

It encodes a check into the capitalisation of an Ethereum address. Wallets that understand it reject an address with a typo instead of sending funds to nowhere; the tool converts any address to this form and tells you whether a mixed-case address passes.

Do the calculators give investment advice?

No. They do arithmetic on the prices, rates and amounts you enter and show the assumptions. They do not predict prices, recommend assets or account for tax, and crypto assets can fall to zero.

Where do prices and block heights come from?

The converters work from figures you enter. Where a page offers a live price or block height, it says which public source it reads and the time of the figure, and it works without that source if you type the number yourself.
