Interview question generator for practice at any level
This interview question generator deals you a fresh set of practice questions for the interview you actually have coming up. Choose your level — fresher or student, experienced, or manager — and your role, tick the question types you want, and you get a mixed set of HR, behavioural, situational and role-specific questions. Then practise one at a time with a thinking-and-answer timer, write notes, and see what the interviewer is really listening for.
All 129 questions and tips were written for this tool. There is no AI and no account: the questions, your notes and the timer all live in your browser. A simple, clearly labelled structure check looks at your notes for a number, “I” versus “we”, an outcome and filler phrases — it counts words and patterns, it does not judge your answer.

Types of interview questions and how to answer them
- HR and general (“Tell me about yourself”, “Why this company?”): short, specific and linked to the job. Aim for 45–100 seconds.
- Behavioural (“Tell me about a time…”): tell a real story with the STAR method — situation, task, action, result. Build one with the STAR answer builder.
- Situational (“What would you do if…”): explain how you would think, who you would involve and what you would do first.
- Role-specific: explain concepts in plain words, give an example from your own work, and say how you would check you are right.
Interview questions for freshers
Freshers are usually asked about their course, projects, internships, teamwork at college and why they want the role. Interviewers know you have little experience; they look for curiosity, clear thinking and evidence that you finish what you start. Keep a short story ready for a group project, a problem you solved and something you learned on your own.
Before the interview, prepare a 30–60 second introduction with the elevator pitch generator, check your CV against the job with the ATS resume checker, and practise each answer out loud at least twice.
A simple mock interview routine
- Generate a set of eight questions for your level and role, and read only the first one.
- Use the thinking time to jot three bullet points — no full sentences.
- Answer out loud while the answer timer runs; stop when it ends, even mid-sentence.
- Read the structure check, tighten your notes, then answer the same question again.
- Repeat with a new set the next day; questions you found hard are worth a third round.
Interview Question Generator & Practice FAQ
How does this interview question generator choose questions?
It filters the bank by your level, role and question types, shuffles each type and deals them in turn, so every set mixes HR, behavioural, situational and role questions.
Are these interview questions and answers?
Each question comes with a short note on what the interviewer is looking for. You write your own answer — model answers you memorise tend to sound rehearsed.
What are good interview questions for freshers?
Choose “Fresher / student”: you will get questions about your course, projects, internships, teamwork and motivation, plus common HR questions.
How long should an interview answer be?
About 45–100 seconds for general questions and 1½–2½ minutes for a behavioural story. The timer and word count help you practise that length.
Does it use AI or send my notes anywhere?
No. The questions are a fixed bank, the structure check is a few simple rules, and notes are saved only in your browser.
Can I print the questions?
Yes. Press Print for a clean sheet with the questions, tips, your notes and space to write.
