The PDF embeds Noto Sans, so ₹, €, £ and accented names print exactly. Category headings start a new block; long lists continue on the next page with the column heads repeated.

A free price list maker for shops, cafés and services

This price list maker turns your items and prices into a clean, printable list: a shop price list, a rate card for a salon, tailor, tutor or photographer, a rate list for a wholesale counter, or a simple menu for a tiffin centre or café. Group items under category headings, add a unit (per plate, per kg, per hour, per visit) and an optional item code, and the list lays itself out with your logo, address and contact number.

Tax is handled the way Indian buyers expect. Type prices that already include GST, or prices before tax and let the tool add it per item at 0, 5, 18 or 40%. Then choose what customers see: the final price only, the price before tax with the GST rate and the amount they pay, or the pre-tax price with a “GST extra” note. VAT and US-style sales tax work the same way.

Download an A4 or US Letter PDF for the counter or the shop window, a tall phone image to send on WhatsApp or post as a status, or copy the list as WhatsApp text. Everything is made in your browser and saved only on this device.

How to use the Price List Maker

  1. Pick the paper size, accent colour and currency, and add your business name, address, phone and logo.
  2. Type a heading such as “Price List”, “Rate Card” or “Menu”, the date the prices apply from and an optional line underneath.
  3. Choose the tax: whether your prices already include GST, and whether the list should show the final price only or the price, the GST rate and the final price.
  4. Press Add category heading for each group and Add item for each product or service, with its unit and price. Reorder rows with the arrows.
  5. To update every price at once, enter a percentage under Change every price by and press Apply to all prices.
  6. Press Download PDF, Download phone image or copy the WhatsApp text.

Three outputs

Saved lists

Keep several lists — a dine-in menu, a party-order rate card, a wholesale rate list — and reopen them later. Export JSON for a backup.

How GST-inclusive prices are worked out

When the price you type already includes GST, the price before tax is price ÷ (1 + rate ÷ 100). A ₹120 masala dosa at 5% GST is ₹120 ÷ 1.05 = ₹114.29 before tax, with ₹5.71 of GST inside it. When you type the price before tax, the tool adds it: ₹99 + 18% = ₹116.82, which you can round to ₹117 so the list shows tidy figures.

Rates differ by item, so each line has its own tax rate. Since GST 2.0 (22 September 2025) the main slabs are 5% and 18%, with 40% for a short list of sin and luxury goods, and 0% for many staples. Standalone restaurants usually charge 5% without input tax credit. Check the rate for your goods on the official GST portal or with the GST calculator — this tool does not decide the rate for you, and it is not tax advice.

Price list, rate card or rate list — what to include

  • Your business name, address and phone number, so a printed or forwarded list can always be traced back to you.
  • A clear heading and the date the prices apply from, so old copies are easy to spot.
  • Units for every price: per plate, per kg, per hour, per visit, per sq ft.
  • A tax line — “All prices include GST” or “GST extra as applicable” — so there are no arguments at billing time.
  • Terms that matter: minimum order, delivery or travel charges, advance for bulk orders, and that prices may change.
  • Your GSTIN if you are registered (it prints under your address).

From price list to bill

For a sit-down restaurant, the restaurant menu maker lays out dishes with descriptions, half/full prices and veg/non-veg marks. A price list tells customers what things cost; it is not a bill. When a customer orders, send a quotation for larger jobs or issue a tax invoice with the invoice generator. To decide what to charge in the first place, the markup calculator turns your cost and margin into a selling price, and at the end of each day the daily sales report totals what you sold by cash, UPI and card.

Price List Maker FAQ

How do I make a price list online for free?

Add your business details, a heading, category headings and items with their prices, then download the PDF or the phone image. There is no sign-up and nothing is uploaded.

Can I make a rate card for services?

Yes. Use units such as per hour, per visit or per session, and headings like “Hair”, “Skin” or “Bridal”. The same layout works for tutors, photographers, tailors, cleaners and repair shops.

Should prices on my price list include GST?

For shoppers and diners, showing the final GST-inclusive price avoids surprises. For business customers, a pre-tax price with the GST rate is common. The tool can show either, or both side by side.

How do I share a price list on WhatsApp?

Press Download phone image and send the picture, or copy the WhatsApp text, which uses bold headings and works without any app.

Can I update all prices at once?

Yes. Enter a percentage such as 5 or −10 and press Apply to all prices. Category headings are not changed.

Is my price list saved?

It is saved in this browser only. Use Save draft to keep several lists and Export JSON for a backup you can import on another device.
