Vrat and tyohar calendar: every fast and festival of the month
This free vrat calendar puts every Hindu fast and festival of a month in one place — Ekadashi with its parana time, Purnima, Amavasya, Pradosh, Sankashti Chaturthi and the sankranti days, together with festivals such as Navratri, Dussehra, Karva Chauth, Diwali, Holi and Janmashtami. Pick a month and year from 1900 to 2099 and your city, and the grid shows the tithi at each sunrise with that day’s observances; the list below gives the times or the rule for each.
Use it as a vrat tyohar calendar 2026 for your home, or for any city abroad — the dates follow local sunrise, sunset, moonrise and time zone. The month’s list downloads as CSV, or as an .ics file that adds every vrat and festival to Google, Apple or Outlook calendars.

Where the dates come from
Two engines from this site are combined. The fasting days come from the Ekadashi dates engine: Smarta Ekadashi by tithi at sunrise with the parana window; the Purnima vrat and Darsha Amavasya by the tithi at midday; Pradosh on the evening Trayodashi covers more of Pradosh kaal; Sankashti on the Krishna Chaturthi current at moonrise; and sankranti at the Sun’s entry into a sidereal sign. Its dates match Drik Panchang’s published lists for New Delhi for 2025, 2026 and 2027.
The festivals come from the same rules as the Hindu festival dates page and the calendar generator: each lunar festival is an amanta month and tithi that must prevail at a set time — sunrise for Janmashtami, midday for Ganesh Chaturthi, sunset for Diwali, moonrise for Karva Chauth — checked against the Government of India holiday lists for 2026 and 2027.

Regional practice and limits
Amavasya names follow the purnimanta months of north India, and the Ekadashi day is the Smarta one; Vaishnava calendars sometimes keep Ekadashi a day later, which the Ekadashi page shows. Regional festivals with their own rules — Bengal’s Durga Puja, Tamil and Kerala solar-month festivals — are on the regional calendar pages. Temples and family almanacs can keep a day differently, so follow your priest for rituals.
This page is for tradition and entertainment, not prediction or advice, and fasting can be unsafe with some health conditions or in pregnancy — ask a doctor. For a single kind of fast see Pradosh vrat, Sankashti and Amavasya and Purnima.

Usually two — one in each fortnight; the list names both with their parana times.
