Print a monthly habit tracker: habits down the side, every day across, weekend shading and a streak column.

Up to 25 habits. Long names are shortened to fit the column.

Printing sends only the sheet to the printer at 100% scale. The PDF is vector (sharp at any size); the PNG shows the first page. Everything is drawn in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter or upload is sent to a server.

A printable habit tracker for any month

Type your habits, pick a month and this habit tracker printable draws the classic grid: one row per habit, one column per day of the month — 28, 29, 30 or 31 — with weekday initials along the top, weekends shaded, a “days done” total column and a streak / notes column at the right. Fill a box for every day you keep the habit and the pattern of the month is visible at a glance, which is exactly what makes paper trackers work.

The grid resizes to the number of habits and to the paper you choose (A4, Letter, A5 or Legal, landscape or portrait), so five habits get tall rows and twenty still fit on one page. Print it straight from the page or download a vector PDF or PNG, generated in your browser with nothing uploaded.

How to use the Habit Tracker Printable

  1. Enter your habits, one per line — up to 25. Keep names short (“Walk 5k”, “No phone in bed”).
  2. Choose the month. The grid gets the right number of days and the correct weekday initials, and weekends are shaded if you leave that ticked.
  3. Switch the streak/notes column, the “Done” total column and the weekday initials on or off, and add a few empty rows for habits you start mid-month.
  4. Pick an accent colour and your paper size; landscape gives wider day cells.
  5. Press Print tracker, or download the PDF or PNG, and stick it where you will see it every day.

Habit Tracker Printable features

Any month, any year

Correct day count and weekday initials for every month, including leap-year Februaries, computed from the calendar.

Up to 25 habits

Rows shrink to fit; the tool warns when the page gets too crowded so boxes stay large enough to tick.

Weekend shading

Saturdays and Sundays are tinted so you can see weekday-only habits and weekend slumps.

Totals and streak notes

A “Done” column to count ticks and a wider notes column for the longest streak or a reward.

Empty rows

Add spare rows for habits you decide to add during the month.

Print, PDF or PNG

Clean vector output in your chosen accent colour; the PNG makes a good phone wallpaper or tablet template.

How to use a monthly habit tracker well

  • Track three to six habits you are actively building. Established routines do not need rows; too many rows turns tracking into a chore.
  • Write the smallest version of the habit (“10 push-ups”, “read 2 pages”) so a tick is always possible, then exceed it when you can.
  • Tick the same time each day — after brushing your teeth, or at the end of the workday — and keep the sheet in sight.
  • Count the streak in the notes column. Missing one day is normal; the aim is never to miss twice in a row.
  • Review at month end: the “Done” column gives a simple score per habit, and the pattern across the row shows which days of the week need a different plan.

Paper size and the number of habits

Row height is calculated from the space left after the header, down to a minimum of 4.5 mm so a tick still fits. The table shows the approximate maximum for each page before the layout refuses to shrink further:

PaperHabits (approx.)Day cell width (31 days)
A4 / Letter landscape20–25about 6 mm
A4 / Letter portrait25 (rows capped at 14 mm)about 4 mm — tight; untick the notes column
A5 landscape10–12about 4 mm
A5 portrait15about 2.5 mm — use for short months or fewer habits

Digital tracking and companion sheets

If you prefer to tick habits on screen, the online habit tracker keeps streaks in your browser. For planning around the habits, print the daily planner or the weekly planner, and for children’s routines the chore chart maker uses the same idea with names across the top and star stickers.

Habit Tracker Printable FAQ

Does the habit tracker show the right number of days for each month?

Yes. The month you pick decides whether the grid has 28, 29, 30 or 31 columns, and the weekday initials and weekend shading follow the real calendar.

How many habits can I fit on one page?

Up to 25 rows on A4 or Letter landscape. The rows shrink to fit, and the tool tells you if the page becomes too crowded to tick comfortably.

Can I print an undated or yearly habit tracker?

The grid is always for one month so that the day count and weekends are correct. For a year, download twelve PDFs, one per month; for an undated grid choose a 31-day month and untick the weekday initials and weekend shading.

What is the “Done” column for?

It is a total box at the end of each row: at the end of the month count your ticks and write the number, which makes month-to-month comparison easy.

Can I use my own colours?

Yes. The accent colour tints the header, weekend columns and labels. Choose black for a plain grey-scale sheet.

Is my list of habits private?

Yes. The grid is drawn on your device and nothing is sent to a server or stored.
