A printable calendar generator for any month or year
Need a wall planner for the office, a monthly schedule for the fridge, or a year-at-a-glance sheet for your exam timetable? This calendar generator builds a clean, printable calendar for any month or a whole year from 1 to 9999. Choose whether weeks start on Monday or Sunday, add ISO week numbers, shade weekends, highlight today and type your own notes — birthdays, holidays, deadlines — straight onto the days.
Add a holiday layer for a holiday calendar 2026 or 2027: calculated Indian festivals, the official Government of India list, US federal holidays, or an Islamic calendar with Hijri dates, Ramadan and Eid.
When it looks right, print it on A4 or US Letter paper (only the calendar is printed, not the web page), download a high-resolution PNG for sharing or a phone wallpaper, or save a PDF. Your notes and settings stay in your browser, so next month’s calendar is ready with one tap.
How to use the Calendar Generator

- Tap any day to add a note or event, then press “Save note”. Notes appear on the day and in the list under the calendar.

- Press “Print calendar”, “Download PNG” or “Download PDF”.

Printing tips for A4 and US Letter
A4 (210 × 297 mm) is the standard paper size in India, the UK, Europe and most of the world; US Letter (8.5 × 11 in, 215.9 × 279.4 mm) is used in the United States, Canada and parts of Latin America. Pick the size that matches your printer paper so the calendar fills the page without being cut off.
Landscape suits a single month, with wider day boxes for notes; portrait suits a year calendar on a noticeboard. If your printer adds margins, choose “Fit to page”. For large prints use the PDF, which stays crisp at any size.
| Paper | Size | Best calendar layout |
|---|---|---|
| A4 | 210 × 297 mm | Month: landscape · Year: portrait or landscape |
| US Letter | 8.5 × 11 in (215.9 × 279.4 mm) | Month: landscape · Year: portrait or landscape |
Holidays, festivals and Islamic dates
India — festivals calculates about 45 dates a year for 2025–2029 for New Delhi, with the astronomy engine of the panchang tools. Each festival is a lunar month and tithi that must prevail at a set moment — Diwali: Amavasya at sunset; Karwa Chauth: Chaturthi at moonrise — and the rule is listed. They match every corresponding date in the Government of India lists for 2026 and 2027 (79 checks); regional almanacs can differ by a day.
The official list is DoPT’s for central government offices in Delhi (orders of 3 July 2025 and 16 July 2026, checked 24 October 2026). US federal holidays follow 5 U.S.C. 6103, with the observed days off listed by the Office of Personnel Management. The Islamic calendar uses the Umm al-Qura or tabular tables of the Hijri date converter.
Week numbers and the first day of the week
The ISO 8601 standard starts weeks on Monday and numbers them so that week 1 contains the year’s first Thursday. Many businesses, schools and project teams plan in these week numbers, which is why they are shown in the left column. If your calendar starts on Sunday, each row is labelled with the ISO week of its Monday. To look up any date’s week or list every week of the year, use the Week Number Calculator.
Monday-first calendars are standard across Europe and in ISO-based business software, while wall calendars in the United States, Canada and Japan usually begin on Sunday. Choose whichever your family, school or office is used to — the dates are identical either way.
Calendar Generator FAQ
How do I make a printable calendar?
Choose a month or a whole year in the calendar generator, set your options, add any notes, and press “Print calendar”. Only the calendar is sent to the printer, sized for A4 or US Letter.
Can I add holidays and events to the calendar?
Yes. Tap a day, type the event and press “Save note”. Notes appear on the day in the month view, as a dot in the year view, and in the printed, PNG and PDF versions.
Are my notes saved?
Yes, in your browser’s local storage on this device only. Nothing is uploaded, so the notes will not appear on another phone or computer.
Why do the week numbers look different from my diary?
This calendar uses ISO 8601 week numbers, where week 1 contains the first Thursday of January. Some diaries, especially in the US, count week 1 as the week containing 1 January, which can differ by one.
Can I print a holiday calendar for 2027 for India or the USA?
Yes. Type 2027 (any year from 1 to 9999 works; leap years such as 2028 get 29 February), then choose an Indian or US holiday layer. Holidays appear on the days, in a list with their rule or source, and in the print.
Are the Islamic calendar dates exact?
They follow the Umm al-Qura or tabular calendar. Where Ramadan and Eid follow a local moon sighting, the date can be a day later — use the moon-sighting adjustment.
How do I save the calendar as a PDF?
Press “Download PDF”. The PDF library loads the first time you use it, then a vector PDF in your chosen paper size is saved to your device.
