Duplicate pages inside a PDF without retyping or rescanning

Sometimes one page needs to appear more than once: a sign-up sheet you want to print three times, a form page that every applicant must fill in, a blank answer sheet at the end of a worksheet, or a cover you want repeated before each section. The Duplicate PDF Pages tool copies the pages you choose and puts the copies exactly where you want them — right after the original or at the end of the document.

It can also repeat the whole document. Choose 2 copies and a five-page handout becomes a ten-page PDF, either collated (1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3) or uncollated (1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3). That is handy when a print shop, a kiosk or a phone printing app only prints one copy of each file.

Everything runs in your browser. The PDF is never uploaded, and each copy is a true page of the original, not a screenshot, so text stays sharp and selectable.

How to duplicate pages in a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF onto the upload area or click to choose it. A preview of every page appears.
  2. Keep “Selected pages”, then tap the pages to copy — or type them, such as 2, 5-7. Use All, Odd or Even for quick picks.
  3. Set “Extra copies of each page” and choose whether the copies go right after the original or at the end.
  4. To repeat the entire file instead, switch to “Whole document”, set the number of copies and choose collated or uncollated order.
  5. Check the new page sequence shown under the settings — copies are highlighted — then press the duplicate button and download the PDF.

Duplicate PDF Pages features

Tap or type your pages

Select pages on the previews or with ranges like 3-6 and “last”; both stay in sync.

Copies where you need them

Insert copies directly after each original page, or append them at the end as sets or grouped page by page.

Repeat the whole document

Make 2 to 50 copies of a PDF in one file, collated or uncollated, for one-click printing.

Ready for double-sided printing

An optional blank page keeps every collated copy starting on a fresh sheet when the page count is odd.

Small files

Copies reuse the original page’s fonts and images instead of storing them again, so ten copies of a scanned page barely add to the file size.

Everything else kept

The pages are added to your existing document, so bookmarks, metadata and the original page order stay as they were.

Which layout should you choose?

When you put several selected pages at the end, they are added as complete sets (2, 5, 2, 5) unless you tick “Keep copies of the same page together”, which gives 2, 2, 5, 5.

How the copies are made

Each duplicate is a new page object that points to the same content and resources as the original page. Nothing is converted to an image, so the copy is pixel-for-pixel identical, text remains searchable, and the file grows only by a few hundred bytes per copy rather than by the size of the page.

Web links and comments on a copied page are given their own copies so that each page owns its annotations. Interactive form fields are the exception: a field can only have one value, so fillable boxes stay on the original page and the copies carry the page artwork without them. If you need filled-in values on every copy, fill the form and save or print it to a flattened PDF first.

Tips

  • Need the copies somewhere else entirely? Duplicate first, then drag pages into any order with Organize PDF.
  • To pull pages out into a separate file instead of copying them inside the same PDF, use Extract PDF Pages.
  • Number the final document with Add Page Numbers after duplicating, so the copies are numbered too.
  • Copies of the same document from different files can be combined with Merge PDF.

Duplicate PDF Pages FAQ

How do I duplicate a page in a PDF?

Add the PDF, tap the page you want to copy (or type its number), set how many extra copies you need and choose “Right after the original”. Press “Duplicate pages” and download the new PDF.

Can I copy several pages at once?

Yes. Select as many pages as you like, or type ranges such as 1-3, 8. Every selected page gets the same number of copies.

How do I make two copies of a whole PDF in one file?

Switch to “Whole document”, set “Number of copies” to 2 and choose collated (1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3) or uncollated (1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3) order.

Will duplicating pages make my PDF much bigger?

Hardly. Copies share the original page’s fonts, images and drawing instructions, so even copies of scanned pages add only a tiny amount.

Do links and form fields get copied too?

Links and comments are copied with the page. Fillable form fields stay on the original page only, because a form field can hold just one value.

Is it safe to duplicate pages of a private document here?

Yes. The file is processed by your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
