Insert pages into a PDF wherever you need them

Sometimes a PDF is almost right: a page is missing from a scan, a signed sheet needs to go back in, a blank page is needed so the next chapter starts on a right-hand page, or a photo belongs after page 4. The Insert PDF Pages tool adds blank pages, pages from another PDF, or images to an existing PDF at exactly the position you choose.

Insert at the start or the end, before or after any page, or after every page (or every N pages) — useful for adding note pages or separator sheets throughout a document. A thumbnail strip shows the result in order, with the new pages highlighted, before anything is saved.

Your files are combined inside your browser. The original pages are not re-rendered or copied, so their quality, bookmarks, links and form fields stay as they were, and nothing is uploaded.

How to insert pages into a PDF

  1. Drop the PDF you want to add pages to.
  2. Choose what to insert: “Blank pages” (set how many and their size), “Pages from a PDF” (choose the file and which pages), or “Images”.
  3. Under “Where to insert”, pick the start, the end, before or after a page number, or after every few pages.
  4. Check the thumbnail strip — new pages are outlined — then press “Insert pages”.
  5. Download the PDF, or press “Insert more into this PDF” to add something else to the result.

Insert PDF Pages features

Three kinds of pages

Blank pages, any pages from a second PDF (in any order, such as 3, 1-2), or JPG, PNG and WebP images as full pages.

Precise positions

Start, end, before page N, after page N, or after every N pages — the same set is repeated at each place.

Sizes that match

Blank and image pages can take the size and orientation of the neighbouring page, or use A4 or Letter.

Visual preview

A thumbnail strip shows the finished order with original page numbers and the new pages highlighted.

Nothing else changes

Existing pages keep their quality, and bookmarks, links and form fields keep working.

Chain several inserts

“Insert more into this PDF” lets you add blank pages and a scanned page in one session.

Common reasons to insert pages

  • Double-sided printing. Add a blank page after a chapter that ends on a right-hand page, so the next one starts on the front of a sheet. “After every page” turns a document into single-sided pages with blank backs.
  • A missing or corrected page. Scan the missing page, then insert it before or after the right page number — no need to rescan the whole document.
  • Signed pages and annexures. Put the signed signature page back into a contract, or add certificates and receipts behind an application.
  • Notes and separators. Insert blank pages after every slide of a presentation handout for handwritten notes, or separator sheets between sections.

How page sizes are chosen

“Same as the neighbouring page” uses the page the insertion follows — or the first page when you insert at the start — including its orientation, so a blank page in a landscape section is landscape too. A4 is 210 × 297 mm (595 × 842 points) and US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches (612 × 792 points).

Images are scaled to fit inside the page with a small margin and keep their proportions; landscape images get a landscape page. With “Fit the page to the image”, the page takes the image’s shape instead. To build a whole PDF from photos, JPG to PDF offers more layout options.

Insert PDF Pages FAQ

How do I add a blank page to a PDF?

Drop the PDF here, keep “Blank pages” selected, set how many you need, choose where (for example “After page…” and 5) and press “Insert pages”. The blank page takes the size of the page next to it unless you choose A4 or Letter.

How do I insert one PDF into another at a specific page?

Choose “Pages from a PDF”, pick the second file and which of its pages to use, then select “Before page…” or “After page…” with the page number. The pages are copied in at that position.

Can I add a blank page after every page?

Yes. Choose “After every … pages” and enter 1. A 10-page document becomes 20 pages, with a blank page after each original page — handy for notes or single-sided printing.

Can I insert an image or photo as a page?

Yes. Choose “Images”, add one or more JPG, PNG or WebP files, and choose the position. Each image becomes its own page, scaled to fit.

Will inserting pages change the rest of my PDF?

No. Existing pages are kept exactly as they are; only the new pages are added and the page order is updated. Bookmarks and links still point to the right pages.

Is it safe to insert pages into confidential PDFs here?

Yes. All files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded.
