Convert JPG and other images to PDF in seconds
The JPG to PDF converter turns photos, scans and screenshots into a single, tidy PDF document. Add as many pictures as you need — JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP — put them in the right order, choose a page size and download one file that is easy to email, upload to a form or print. It works just as well as an image to PDF or PNG to PDF converter.
People use it to send a month of receipts to an accountant, submit ID proof, mark sheets or certificates to a university or government portal, turn phone photos of handwritten notes into one document, or put together a simple photo booklet. Portals that accept “one PDF only” are no longer a problem.
The conversion runs entirely inside your browser. Your images are never uploaded to a server, which matters when the pages are passports, Aadhaar or PAN cards, bank statements or medical reports.
How to use the JPG to PDF
- Drag your images onto the drop area, click it to choose files, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V. On a phone you can select several photos from your gallery at once.
- Arrange the pages: drag thumbnails into place on a computer, use the arrow buttons on a phone, or press “Sort by name” for files numbered like scan-01, scan-02.
- Remove any picture you added by mistake with its × button, or use “Add images” to include more.
- Choose a page size (A4, US Letter or Fit to image), the orientation and the margin.
- Press “Convert to PDF”. The file images.pdf downloads automatically, and the Download button below lets you save it again.
JPG to PDF features
Many image formats
JPG and PNG files are embedded directly. WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF and any other format your browser can open are converted automatically, so mixed batches work in one go.
Original JPG quality
JPG photos are placed into the PDF byte for byte without re-compression, so they keep their full sharpness and the PDF stays as compact as the originals.
Phone photos the right way up
Rotation recorded in a photo’s EXIF data is respected, so pictures taken in portrait mode don’t come out sideways.
Reorder and remove
Drag and drop on desktop, arrow buttons on touch screens, natural sort by file name, and one-tap removal.
Smart page orientation
In Auto mode, wide images get a landscape page and tall images a portrait page. Every image is scaled to fit and centred.
Private by design
Everything happens on your own device. No upload, no account, no watermark and no file-size quota.
Page size, orientation and margin explained
The settings apply to every page. Images are never stretched or cropped: each one is scaled to fit inside the margins and centred on its page.
| Setting | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| A4 | 210 × 297 mm (8.27 × 11.69 in), the international paper standard used in India, the UK, Europe and most countries | Printing and most online application forms |
| US Letter | 8.5 × 11 in (216 × 279 mm), the standard office paper in the US and Canada | Printing on North American paper |
| Fit to image | Each page is exactly the size of its picture at 96 pixels per inch, with no white border (unless you add a margin) | Reading on screen, slides, photo albums |
| Auto orientation | Wide pictures get a landscape page, tall pictures a portrait page | Mixed photos and documents |
| Margin | None, small (about 7 mm) or large (about 18 mm) of white space around each image | Small or large if you plan to print — most printers cannot print right to the edge |
Tips for a sharp, small PDF
- Photograph paper documents in daylight, flat on a dark surface, and crop away the background first with Crop Image.
- Phone photos are often 3–5 MB each. If a portal has a size limit such as 2 MB, shrink the photos with the Image Compressor before converting, or reduce the finished file with Compress PDF.
- iPhone photos saved as HEIC can’t be decoded by most browsers. Convert them with HEIC to JPG first.
- To add the pictures to an existing PDF, convert them here and then combine both files with Merge PDF.
- Animated GIFs are added as a still picture of their first frame.
How the images are stored inside the PDF
A PDF can hold JPEG-compressed pictures and lossless pictures (the same kind of compression PNG uses). This converter keeps JPG files as JPEG and PNG files as lossless, so nothing is degraded. Pictures in other formats are converted to high-quality JPEG (92%) when they are fully opaque, or to lossless PNG when they contain transparency — transparent areas then show the white of the page.
Going the other way? PDF to JPG turns each page of a PDF back into an image.
JPG to PDF FAQ
How do I convert JPG to PDF for free?
Add your JPG files above, arrange them, choose a page size and press “Convert to PDF”. The tool is completely free, adds no watermark and needs no sign-up.
Can I convert PNG or WebP images to PDF as well?
Yes. PNG to PDF, WebP to PDF, GIF, BMP and other formats your browser can display all work, and you can mix formats in one document. Each image becomes its own page.
How many images can I combine into one PDF?
There is no fixed limit. Dozens of photos work comfortably on phones and computers; very large batches of high-resolution photos depend on how much memory your device has.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is built inside your browser with JavaScript. Your images never leave your device, so the tool is safe for ID documents and personal photos.
Why is my PDF file so large?
JPG photos are stored at their original quality, so ten 4 MB phone photos make a PDF of roughly 40 MB. Compress the photos before converting, or run the finished file through Compress PDF.
Will converting reduce image quality?
Not for JPG and PNG — they are embedded unchanged. Other formats are converted at 92% JPEG quality, which looks identical for photos, or losslessly when they have transparency.
