WebP to PDF

Turn WebP images into a PDF that any portal accepts — store them as compact JPEG or lossless PNG.

Drop WebP images here or click to choose WebP files · pick several at once
90% looks identical to the WebP for most images.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter or upload is sent to a server.

Convert WebP images to PDF in your browser

The WebP to PDF converter turns WebP pictures into an ordinary PDF document. Add one image or many, put them in order, pick a page size and download a single PDF that opens on every computer and phone and that upload portals accept.

WebP files turn up everywhere today: images saved from websites in Chrome or Edge, product photos from online shops, WhatsApp and Telegram stickers, and pictures exported by Android apps. Yet many government, university and job portals, insurance claim forms and office workflows only accept PDF or JPG. Converting the WebP images to a PDF solves that in one step.

Your images are decoded by the browser and placed into a PDF with pdf-lib, without leaving your device. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.

How to convert WebP to PDF

  1. Drop your .webp files onto the box above or click it to choose them. You can pick several at once.
  2. Arrange the pages by dragging thumbnails, with the arrow buttons, or with “Sort by name”.
  3. Choose the page size, orientation and margin.
  4. Under “Store images as”, choose JPEG for a smaller PDF (and set the quality) or PNG for lossless pages that keep transparency.
  5. Press “Convert to PDF” to download webp-images.pdf.

WebP to PDF features

JPEG or lossless storage

JPEG keeps the PDF compact; PNG keeps every decoded pixel and any transparency.

Quality control

A JPEG quality slider from 40 to 100% lets you balance sharpness and file size.

Batch conversion

Combine any number of WebP images into one multi-page PDF in the order you choose.

Automatic orientation

Wide images get landscape pages and tall ones portrait pages, or force one orientation for all.

Private

Decoding and PDF creation happen in your browser; your pictures never leave your device.

Why the images are re-encoded

The PDF format has no way to store WebP data directly: a PDF can hold JPEG-compressed images and losslessly compressed pixel images, but not WebP. Every WebP to PDF converter therefore decodes the WebP and stores it in one of those two forms. This tool lets you choose which.

JPEG is the right choice for photos and for anything with an upload size limit. At 90% the result is visually the same as the WebP, which was itself lossy. PNG is better for screenshots, logos, stickers and drawings: nothing more is lost, and transparent backgrounds stay transparent — with JPEG they are filled with white, because JPEG has no transparency.

How to tell if an image is WebP

The file name ends in .webp. If your computer hides extensions, check the file’s properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac): the type will say WebP image. A picture saved from a web page can be WebP even when the page showed it as an ordinary photo, because many sites send WebP to browsers that support it. If a form rejects a picture you “saved as image”, this is usually why — and converting it here gives the form a PDF it accepts.

Tips

  • Animated WebP files are added as their first frame.
  • If a portal sets a size limit, use JPEG at 70–80%, or compress the finished file with Compress PDF.
  • Mixing WebP with JPG and PNG photos? JPG to PDF accepts all of them in one go.
  • Only need a JPG or PNG copy of a WebP, not a PDF? Use the Image Converter.
  • Going the other way, PDF to WebP turns PDF pages into WebP images for your website.

WebP to PDF FAQ

How do I convert WebP to PDF?

Choose your WebP images above, set the page options and press “Convert to PDF”. The PDF downloads straight away. It is free and needs no sign-up.

Can I convert several WebP images into one PDF?

Yes. Every image becomes a page in the order shown, and you can reorder or remove pages before converting.

Will the quality drop?

With PNG storage nothing more is lost. With JPEG storage at 90% the difference is not visible for photos; choose a higher quality for small text.

Why did the transparent background turn white?

JPEG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Choose “PNG — lossless, keeps transparency” to keep them.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Any current mobile browser can decode WebP. Very old browsers that can’t display WebP images can’t convert them either.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The images are decoded and the PDF is built inside your browser.
