Make a photo collage online in a minute
This free collage maker puts 2 to 9 photos together in one picture. Choose a classic grid or an asymmetric layout with one large feature photo, drop your pictures in, and drag each one inside its frame until the crop is just right. Adjust the spacing, round the corners, pick a background colour and download a high-resolution JPG or PNG.
Canvas sizes are ready for social media — square and 4:5 portrait posts, 9:16 stories and reels, and 16:9 for YouTube, slides and desktop wallpapers. There is no watermark and no sign-up, and your photos are combined in your browser rather than on a server.
How to use the Collage Maker
- Press the “Add photos” area (or drag photos onto it) and select up to nine pictures. They fill the layout in order, and the layout grows automatically if you add more photos than it holds.
- Choose the number of photos and pick a layout. You can also tap any empty cell to add a photo to that exact spot.
- Drag a photo inside its cell to reposition it; select it to zoom in, replace it or remove it.
- Pick the canvas size, then adjust spacing, corner radius and background colour.
- Choose JPG or PNG and press “Download collage”.

Tips for a great-looking collage
- Pick a hero. Asymmetric layouts work best when the large cell holds your strongest photo and the small cells add detail or context.
- Mix close-ups and wide shots so the collage has rhythm instead of nine similar faces.
- Keep colours consistent. Photos with similar tones look like a set; apply the same filter to all of them first with Image Filters.
- Mind the crop. Tall portrait photos in wide cells lose their tops and bottoms — drag them so heads aren’t cut off, or choose a layout whose cells match the photo’s shape.
- Spacing sets the mood. No spacing feels like a single scene; 10–20 px white borders feel like a photo album; large gaps with rounded corners feel modern and playful.
Which canvas size to choose
Check current platform sizes on Social Media Image Sizes. To turn one big image into several posts instead, use the Image Splitter.
| Canvas | Pixels | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Square 1:1 | 1080 × 1080 | Instagram and Facebook feed posts, profile highlights |
| Portrait 4:5 | 1080 × 1350 | Instagram feed posts that take up more screen space |
| Story 9:16 | 1080 × 1920 | Instagram and Facebook Stories, Reels covers, WhatsApp status |
| Landscape 16:9 | 1920 × 1080 | YouTube thumbnails and community posts, presentations, desktop wallpapers |
Good to know
JPG files are much smaller and ideal for sharing; choose PNG if you plan to edit the collage further or need perfectly crisp borders. Very large phone photos are scaled down to fit their cells, so the collage stays sharp at the selected canvas size without becoming huge. If a platform still rejects the file size, shrink it with the Image Compressor.
