Rotate PDF pages and save them the right way up
Scanned a document sideways? Received a PDF with one landscape table that reads upside down? The Rotate PDF tool fixes page orientation permanently. You see a preview of every page, turn the ones that need it, and save a corrected PDF that opens the right way in every reader, on every device.
Rotate the whole document in one click, or tap individual pages to turn only the ones that are wrong. Each preview spins as you go, so you can check the result before you save.
Your file is not uploaded anywhere. The previews are drawn and the rotation is saved by your browser, so private documents stay on your device.
How to rotate a PDF
- Drop your PDF onto the upload area or click to choose it. A preview of every page appears.
- To rotate every page, use “Left”, “Right” or “180°” under “Rotate all pages”.
- To rotate a single page, tap its preview (90° clockwise each tap) or use the arrow buttons below it. A badge shows how far each page has been turned.
- Made a mistake? Press “Reset” to clear all rotations.
- Press the save button (it shows how many pages will be rotated), then “Download PDF” to keep the corrected file.
Rotate PDF features
Page previews
Real thumbnails of every page, rendered on demand so even long documents open quickly.
All pages or just some
Rotate the whole document at once, then fine-tune individual pages with a tap.
Lossless rotation
Only the page’s orientation setting changes, so text, images and quality are untouched and the file size stays the same.
Keeps everything else
Bookmarks, links, form fields and document information are preserved because the original file is edited rather than rebuilt.
Works with already-rotated pages
New rotation is added to any rotation a page already has, so the previews match what you get.
Private
Rotation happens on your device. No upload, no account and no watermark.
Rotating a page vs. rotating the view
Most PDF readers have a “rotate view” button, but it only changes how the file looks on your screen at that moment. Close the file or send it to someone else and the page is sideways again. This tool changes the page itself, so the fix travels with the file — to email, printers, upload portals and phones.
Technically, every PDF page has a rotation value of 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees. The tool adds your rotation to that value and saves it. Because the page content is not redrawn, the result is lossless and almost instant, even for large scans.
Which rotation do I need?
- Phone scans are often saved sideways when the phone was held in landscape. Rotate those pages right or left until the previews read normally.
- Mixed documents — a portrait report with one wide spreadsheet — are fine as they are: rotate only the page that reads the wrong way.
- Double-sided scans sometimes come out with every second page upside down; tap those pages twice each, or rotate all by 180° and then turn back the others.
| The page looks like… | Use |
|---|---|
| Text runs from bottom to top (head tilted left to read) | Right / tap once (90° clockwise) |
| Text runs from top to bottom (head tilted right to read) | Left (90° anticlockwise) |
| Upside down | 180° |

Rotate PDF FAQ
How do I rotate a PDF and save it permanently?
Add the PDF, rotate the pages you need, press the save button and download the new file. The rotation is stored in the PDF itself, so it stays fixed whichever app or device opens it.
Can I rotate just one page of a PDF?
Yes. Tap that page’s preview to turn it 90° clockwise, or use the arrows under it. Other pages are left exactly as they are.
Does rotating a PDF reduce its quality?
No. Rotation only changes the page’s orientation setting. The text, images and fonts are not re-encoded, so quality and file size stay the same.
Is it safe to rotate a PDF online with this tool?
Yes. The PDF never leaves your device: previews and saving both happen inside your browser.
Why does my PDF still look sideways after rotating in my reader?
Rotating inside a PDF reader usually only rotates the view and is not saved. Use this tool to save the rotation into the file.
Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?
Encrypted files cannot be edited until the protection is removed. Open the file with its password and use Print → Save as PDF to make an unprotected copy, then rotate that.
