Numerology Compatibility Calculator for Love and Marriage

Compare two people’s life path, expression and soul urge numbers, with a points tally that shows its working.

Life path28same family (2-4-8)+3 of 3
Expression (destiny)311 (→ 2)3-6-9 and 2-4-80 of 1
Soul urge313-6-9 and 1-5-70 of 1

Why this score

  • Both life paths are in the 2-4-8 family: +1.
  • Decoz lists 8 among the most favourable partners for life path 2 (Priya): +1.
  • Decoz lists 2 among the most favourable partners for life path 8 (Rahul): +1.

How the points work: for the life path, +1 if both numbers are in the same family (1-5-7, 2-4-8 or 3-6-9), +1 for each person whose number Hans Decoz lists as most favourable for the other, −1 for each listed as unfavourable. Expression and soul urge (when both names are given): +1 each for the same family. The percentage is points ÷ maximum — a tally of these published rules, not a probability.

A numerology compatibility calculator that shows its working

This free numerology compatibility calculator compares two people by their numbers. From each date of birth it works out the life path; from each full name, the expression (destiny) and soul urge numbers. It then checks them against two published traditions — the popular “number families” and the life-path pairings of numerologist Hans Decoz — and adds up a simple points tally.

Most compatibility sites print a percentage without saying where it comes from. Here every point is listed, so you can see exactly why two numbers count as a match. Numerology is a cultural tradition and cannot judge a real relationship: use this for tradition and entertainment, not prediction or advice — and certainly not to decide a marriage.

How to use the Numerology Compatibility Calculator

  1. Enter Person A’s date of birth, and optionally the full birth name.
  2. Do the same for Person B.
  3. Read the headline percentage and the points it is made of.
  4. Check the table: each person’s life path, expression and soul urge, and whether the numbers share a family.
  5. Read Why this score for Decoz’s verdict in each direction, then use Copy result.

Numerology Compatibility Calculator features

Compatibility by date of birth

Life path numbers with month, day and year reduced separately and master numbers kept.

Optional names

Adds expression and soul urge numbers when both names are given.

Two traditions, named

Number families plus Hans Decoz’s life-path pairings, each counted separately.

Transparent score

Points per rule, a stated maximum, and the raw tally even when it goes below zero.

Both directions

Decoz’s pairings are not symmetric, so each person’s view of the other is scored on its own.

The rules behind the score

Number families. Many popular numerology compatibility charts group the single digits into three families — 1, 5 and 7; 2, 4 and 8; 3, 6 and 9 — and call numbers in the same family natural matches. Sources disagree on how far to take this, so it is worth one point per number here.

Decoz’s life-path pairings. In his article on numerology compatibility (World Numerology, checked 19 October 2026) Hans Decoz names, for each life path, the partners he finds most favourable and the ones he finds unfavourable. The page encodes only those clear verdicts and leaves out mixed ones. He also says master numbers should not be used for compatibility, so 11, 22 and 33 are compared as 2, 4 and 6.

28, 94, 7
35, 73, 4, 6, 8
41, 6, 7, 83, 5, 9

73, 51, 2, 8, 9
82, 61, 3, 5
91, 2, 3, 65, 7

Worked example

Priya, born 15 August 1995, has life path 8 + (1 + 5) + (1 + 9 + 9 + 5 → 6) = 20 → 2. Rahul, born 11 May 1990, has 5 + 11 + (1 + 9 + 9 + 0 → 1) = 17 → 8. Both are in the 2-4-8 family (+1), Decoz lists 8 as most favourable for a 2 (+1) and 2 as most favourable for an 8 (+1). Their expression numbers, 3 and 11, are in different families, and so are their soul urge numbers, 3 and 1. The tally is 3 of 5 points, shown as 60%.

Other ways to compare two people

Indian practice often compares the mulank (root number) of each partner and the friendships of their planets, and for marriage most families use Vedic kundli matching (Ashtakoota guna milan) instead. Western astrology compares sun signs — try the zodiac compatibility calculator — or whole birth charts with the synastry calculator. The name-based love calculator is a pure joke game.

Numerology Compatibility Calculator FAQ

How does the numerology compatibility calculator work?

It finds each person’s life path (and, with names, expression and soul urge numbers), checks them against number families and Hans Decoz’s life-path pairings, and adds up the points shown in the table.

Can I check numerology compatibility by date of birth only?

Yes. The names are optional; without them only the life path is compared, out of 3 points.

Is numerology compatibility reliable for marriage?

No. There is no evidence that numbers predict how a marriage will go. Treat the result as tradition and entertainment, not prediction or advice.

Why can the tally go below zero?

Decoz names some pairs as unfavourable, which costs a point each way. The score shown never drops below 0%, but the raw tally is printed.

Why is my master number shown with an arrow?

Life path 11, 22 or 33 is compared as 2, 4 or 6, following Decoz’s advice not to use master numbers for compatibility.

Why do other sites give a different percentage?

Every site uses its own table. This one publishes its rules so the number can be checked.
