MHT CET Percentile Predictor (Marks vs Percentile)

Count MHT CET marks from correct answers, estimate your session percentile with the CET Cell formula, and see a rank.

Estimate, not an official result. The State CET Cell does not publish a marks-to-percentile table. A percentile here comes only from the CET Cell’s own formula with numbers you enter, or from (marks, percentile) points you have from your own session. The rank uses the 2026 appeared counts. Your scorecard is the only official result.

1. Your raw marks (out of 200)

No negative marking in MHT-CET 2026, so only correct answers count.

2. Percentile in your session

Use real scorecards from your own session (classmates, a teacher’s list). Points from other sessions, attempts or years will mislead you.
Estimated percentile—Add at least two (marks, percentile) points from your session, or choose another method.

An MHT CET percentile predictor that shows its working

This MHT CET percentile predictor turns your answers into raw marks, estimates your total percentile with the State CET Cell’s own formula, and gives an approximate position among the candidates of your attempt. It covers the PCM group (engineering) and the PCB group (medical, pharmacy and allied courses) of MHT-CET 2026, with both attempts.

There is one honest limit to every “MHT CET percentile vs marks” chart: the CET Cell publishes percentiles, not a marks-to-percentile table, and the same marks give different percentiles in different sessions. So this tool never invents a curve. It estimates your percentile from scorecards you have from your own session, from a candidate count, or uses the percentile you already know. Everything runs in your browser.

How to use the MHT CET Percentile Predictor

  1. Choose PCM or PCB and type the number of correct answers in each subject. There is no negative marking, so wrong answers do not matter.
  2. For the percentile, paste two or more marks, percentile pairs from scorecards in your session, one pair per line.
  3. Or switch to From a candidate count if you know how many candidates in your session scored the same as or less than you.
  4. In step 3 pick your attempt; the approximate position uses that attempt’s official appeared count.
  5. Use Copy result to save the marks, percentile and position with the method used.

MHT CET Percentile Predictor features

Official 2026 marking

PCM: Physics and Chemistry 1 mark per question, Mathematics 2 marks (150 questions, 200 marks). PCB: 1 mark each for 200 questions. No negative marking.

CET Cell formula

Percentile = 100 × candidates in the session with a total score equal to or below yours ÷ candidates who appeared in that session, to seven decimals.

Both 2026 attempts

PCM 4,54,069 (16 sessions) and 2,85,121 (11 sessions); PCB 2,63,213 (11 sessions) and 95,631 (4 sessions), from the result notifications.

No made-up curves

Interpolates only between points you provide, warns when they look inconsistent, and refuses to extrapolate beyond them.

Percentile vs position table

Fourteen common percentiles converted for the attempt you choose, with your nearest row highlighted.

How MHT CET percentiles are calculated

The CET Cell’s normalisation document defines the percentile in each session as 100 × (candidates with total raw marks ≤ yours) ÷ (candidates who appeared in the session). The total percentile is worked out from the total raw score; it is not an average of the subject percentiles. The topper of every session gets 100 percentile, whatever the raw marks.

Worked example: in a session of 28,379 candidates, if 26,000 scored equal to or less than you, your percentile is 100 × 26,000 ÷ 28,379 = 91.6170408. With 4,54,069 PCM first-attempt candidates, 95 percentile is roughly position (100 − 95) × 4,54,069 ÷ 100 ≈ 22,703.

Two attempts and the best score

MHT-CET 2026 was held twice for each group. The Information Brochure says that if you appeared in both, the better of your two total percentiles is used for admission — not subject-wise percentiles. The CET Cell has not published how many unique candidates took both attempts, so the position here is among one attempt’s candidates only, and the merit rank used in CAP can differ.

Why your real rank can differ

  • State merit lists include only candidates eligible for Maharashtra CAP; all-India and other candidates are listed separately, so your state merit number is usually smaller than the position here.
  • Ties are broken by subject percentiles and other rules in the CAP information brochure.
  • Session difficulty varies, which is exactly why one session’s marks cannot be compared with another’s.

MHT CET Percentile Predictor FAQ

How do I predict my MHT CET percentile by marks?

Count your marks from the answer key, then use scorecards from your own session: with points such as 140 marks = 97.5 and 160 marks = 99.2, this tool interpolates 146 marks to about 98.01 percentile. Without session data no honest prediction is possible.

Is there negative marking in MHT CET 2026?

No. The Information Brochure says there is no negative marking for PCM or PCB.

What is the MHT CET percentile vs marks for 2026?

The CET Cell did not publish one, and it changes by session. Charts online are compiled from student reports. Use points from your own session for the closest estimate.

How many students appeared for MHT CET 2026?

PCM: 4,54,069 in the first attempt and 2,85,121 in the second; PCB: 2,63,213 and 95,631, per the CET Cell result notifications of June 2026.

Which percentile counts if I took both attempts?

The better of your two total percentiles is used for the admission process for 2026–27.

Is this an official MHT CET percentile calculator?

No. It is an estimate using the published formula and counts. Only your scorecard and the CAP merit list are official.
