Batch PDF Converter

Drop dozens of PDFs at once and convert them all to JPG, PNG, WebP images or plain text — one ZIP.

Drop PDF files here or click to choose Add as many PDFs as you like · each one is converted separately · nothing is uploaded

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter or upload is sent to a server.

Convert many PDFs at once with the batch PDF converter

The Batch PDF Converter handles a whole pile of PDFs in one go. Drop in ten, fifty or a hundred files, choose what you want — JPG, PNG or WebP images of every page, or the plain text of each document — and press one button. Each file is converted in turn with its own progress, and everything comes back as a single ZIP with one folder per PDF.

It is built for the repetitive jobs that are tedious one file at a time: turning a semester of lecture PDFs into images for flashcards, making cover thumbnails for a catalogue of brochures or e-books, extracting the text of a folder of reports for searching or analysis, or preparing scanned forms for an OCR or upload system.

Problem files don’t spoil the batch. A password-protected or damaged PDF is marked as skipped with the reason, and the converter simply moves on to the next file. All processing happens in your browser, so a folder of confidential documents never leaves your computer.

How to batch convert PDF files

  1. Drop all your PDFs onto the box above, or click it and select several files at once. You can keep adding more.
  2. Choose the output: JPG, PNG, WebP or plain text. For images pick a resolution and (for JPG and WebP) a quality.
  3. Choose “All pages” or “First page only” — handy for covers and thumbnails.
  4. Press “Convert”. Watch each file’s status in the table: done, skipped (with the reason) or partly converted.
  5. Press “Download ZIP” to save every result, organised in one folder per PDF, together with a summary spreadsheet.

Batch PDF Converter features

Four output types

JPG for small images, lossless PNG, compact WebP, or plain UTF-8 text with optional page markers.

Per-file progress

A status for every PDF plus an overall progress bar showing the current file and page.

Fault-tolerant

Encrypted, damaged or non-PDF files are skipped with a clear reason; a single unreadable page doesn’t stop the rest of its file.

Tidy ZIP

One folder per PDF with page numbers padded for correct sorting, and same-named files kept apart automatically.

Summary CSV

conversion-summary.csv lists every file with its page count, outputs, size and status — useful for record-keeping.

Add files as you go

Files added after a run are converted on the next press without redoing the finished ones.

What the ZIP looks like

Converting report.pdf (3 pages) and invoice.pdf (1 page) to JPG gives:

  • report/report-page-1.jpg, report/report-page-2.jpg, report/report-page-3.jpg
  • invoice/invoice-page-1.jpg
  • conversion-summary.csv — opens in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice

Limits and tips

  • Everything is held in your browser’s memory until you download the ZIP. Hundreds of pages at 300 DPI can exhaust a phone, so convert large jobs in smaller groups or use 150 DPI.
  • Scanned PDFs have no text layer and are flagged “No text found”. Convert them to images at 300 DPI and run them through Image to Text (OCR).
  • Password-protected files must be unlocked first: open them with the password and save an unprotected copy.
  • For finer control over one document — page ranges, custom DPI, transparent backgrounds — use PDF to JPG, PDF to PNG or PDF to Text.

Batch PDF Converter FAQ

How do I convert multiple PDFs to JPG at once?

Drop all the PDFs into the batch PDF converter, keep “JPG images” selected and press “Convert”. When it finishes, “Download ZIP” gives you every page as a JPG, in one folder per PDF.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can convert?

There is no fixed limit. The practical limit is your device’s memory, because results are kept until you download them; dozens of typical documents work comfortably on a laptop.

What happens to password-protected or broken files?

They are skipped, marked in the table with the reason, and listed as skipped in the summary CSV. The rest of the batch carries on normally.

Can I extract text from many PDFs at once?

Yes. Choose “Plain text (.txt)” and each PDF becomes a UTF-8 text file. Scanned PDFs without a text layer are flagged so you know which ones need OCR.

Can I convert just the first page of each PDF?

Yes. Set “Pages of each PDF” to “First page only” to create a cover image or the opening text of every document.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. The files are read and converted by your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and closing the tab discards everything.
