An SSS contribution calculator using the current SSS schedule
This SSS contribution calculator finds your monthly salary credit (MSC) and the contribution due to the Social Security System for employees, employers, kasambahay, self-employed, voluntary and land-based OFW members. It uses the schedules effective January 2025 under the Social Security Act of 2018 — the last scheduled increase, and still the current table in 2026.
Enter your monthly pay and it shows the employer share, the employee share, the split between regular SS, the Mandatory Provident Fund (WISP) and employees’ compensation (EC), the yearly total, and the full SSS contribution table for your member type with your bracket highlighted. Nothing is uploaded.

How SSS contributions are computed
Your compensation is rounded into a ₱500 bracket to get the monthly salary credit — for example, ₱24,750 to ₱25,249.99 gives an MSC of ₱25,000. The contribution is 15% of the MSC. For employees the employer pays 10% and the employee 5%; the employer also pays EC of ₱10 (MSC below ₱15,000) or ₱30. The first ₱20,000 of MSC funds regular SS benefits; the rest, up to ₱15,000 more, goes to the MPF.
Example: a salary of ₱25,000 → MSC ₱25,000. Employer: ₱2,000 regular SS + ₱500 MPF + ₱30 EC = ₱2,530. Employee: ₱1,000 + ₱250 = ₱1,250. Total remitted: ₱3,780 a month.
Minimum and maximum contributions (2025 onwards)
| Member type | MSC range | Lowest monthly total | Highest monthly total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Employee + employer | ₱5,000 – ₱35,000 | ₱760 | ₱5,280 |
| Kasambahay + household employer | ₱1,000 – ₱35,000 | ₱160 | ₱5,280 |
| Self-employed | ₱5,000 – ₱35,000 | ₱760 | ₱5,280 |
| Voluntary / non-working spouse | ₱5,000 – ₱35,000 | ₱750 | ₱5,250 |
| Land-based OFW | ₱8,000 – ₱35,000 | ₱1,200 | ₱5,250 |
How your MSC affects benefits
According to the 2025 circulars, retirement, disability, death, maternity, sickness, unemployment and funeral benefits under the regular SS and EC programs are computed from your MSC, counted from ₱5,000 up to ₱20,000 (from ₱8,000 for OFWs and ₱1,000 for kasambahay). Contributions on MSC above ₱20,000 build your own MPF account, which is paid out as the total contributions plus net investment income.
That is why two people earning ₱20,000 and ₱35,000 receive regular SS benefits on the same ₱20,000 credit, while the higher earner also builds an MPF balance of ₱2,250 a month (₱1,500 from the employer and ₱750 from the employee).
Tips and limits
- Voluntary and OFW members can choose a higher MSC within the range to raise future benefits, which are based on the MSC.
- This calculator does not cover PhilHealth or Pag-IBIG contributions, or late-payment penalties.
- Year-end pay is separate: estimate it with the 13th month pay calculator.
