Free printable baby milestone cards for every month
Monthly photos are one of the nicest records of a baby’s first year, and a card with the age on it makes each picture easy to place later. This baby milestone cards printable maker draws a full set — 1 to 12 months, or newborn to first birthday — with your baby’s name, a theme you like and optional lines to write the date, weight, length and a favourite thing for that month.
Everything is drawn in your browser as crisp vector artwork: print it straight away, or download a PDF to take to a print shop, or a PNG to share. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no sign-up or watermark.
How to make your milestone cards
- Type your baby’s name to get “Asha is … months old”, or leave it empty for “I am”.
- Choose the set of cards, the theme and the number style.
- Pick cards per page (4, 2 or 1) and the paper size; turn the writing lines and cutting lines on or off.
- Press Print cards, or download the PDF (all cards) or the PNG (first page).
- Cut along the dashed lines, fill in the lines with a pen, and take each month’s photo.

Baby photo month by month: ideas that work
- Use the same spot and the same time of day each month — a plain blanket by a window gives soft, even light.
- Add one object that stays the same, like a soft toy or a muslin, so you can see your baby grow beside it.
- Shoot from directly above with the card next to your baby, not on them, and keep a hand close.
- Take a few photos quickly while your baby is fed and happy; it is fine to try again another day.
- Write the weight and length from your baby’s check-up — the baby weight gain calculator shows the change since birth, and the baby age calculator gives the exact age.
Printing tips
Thick paper (200–300 gsm) or photo paper stops the card curling. Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialogue. For a matt look in photos, avoid glossy paper, which reflects light.
| Cards per page | Card size on A4 | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | About 99 × 143 mm | Small photo props, scrapbooks |
| 2 | About 198 × 143 mm | Most photos — easy to read in the picture |
| 1 | Full page | Large flat-lay photos and wall displays |
Safety first
Cards, paper and props are for the photo only. Take them away before your baby sleeps, never leave small items near a baby, and follow safe-sleep advice: on the back, in a clear, flat cot. For what to expect each month, see the baby milestones checklist.
Baby Monthly Milestone Cards (Printable) FAQ
Are these baby milestone cards free to download?
Yes. Make as many as you like, download the PDF or PNG, and print them at home or at a shop. There is no sign-up and no watermark.
Can I put my baby’s name on the cards?
Yes. Type the name and every card reads “[Name] is … months old”. Leave it empty for “I am … months old”.
What size are the cards?
It depends on the cards per page: on A4, four per page gives about 99 × 143 mm, two gives about 198 × 143 mm, or choose one per page for full size.
Can I print in black and white?
Yes. Choose the black-and-white theme — it also makes nice cards to colour in for older siblings.
Do the cards include a newborn card?
Choose “Newborn, 1–11 months and 1 year” to get a “Hello world” card for the first days and a first-birthday card.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The name and the cards stay in your browser; the PDF and PNG are made on your device.
When should I take each monthly photo?
Most parents take it on the same date each month — the 15th if your baby was born on the 15th — or on the nearest calm day. Consistency matters more than the exact date; write the real date on the card’s date line so the record stays accurate.
