Win Rate Calculator — Wins Needed to Reach Your Target

Find your win rate and how many wins in a row (or games at your usual rate) you need to reach a target win rate.

The future-rate figure is an expectation, not a promise: real results come in streaks. Games may round the win rate they display, so a result can differ by one game.

Your win rate, and the wins you need to raise it

A win rate is the share of games you win: wins divided by games played, as a percentage. This win rate calculator works it out from wins, losses and draws — or from the total matches and win rate your game profile shows, as in Mobile Legends or Marvel Rivals — and then tells you how many wins in a row you need to reach a target.

Since nobody wins every game, it also estimates how many games it takes at a realistic win rate, draws the curve of your win rate as you keep playing, and, when you are above a goal, shows how many losses you can absorb before you fall below it.

How to use the win rate calculator

  1. Choose Wins and losses and type your record, or choose Matches and win rate and copy the two numbers from your profile.
  2. Enter the target win rate you want to reach.
  3. Enter the win rate you expect to keep from now on — your recent form is a good guess.
  4. Read the wins in a row needed, the expected number of games at your future rate, and the chart.
  5. If your game has draws, pick whether they count as games, as half a win, or not at all.

Win Rate Calculator features

Two ways to enter stats

Wins and losses, or total matches plus the win rate your profile shows.

Wins in a row needed

The exact streak that lifts you to the target, checked against one game fewer.

Realistic plan

Games needed if you keep winning at a rate above the target, and a warning when that rate can never get you there.

Loss budget

How many losses in a row you can take and still stay at your target.

Your win rate over the next games at your expected rate, with the target line.

The win rate formula

Win rate = wins ÷ games played × 100. 58 wins and 47 losses are 105 games, and 58 ÷ 105 = 55.24 %. Draws are counted in one of three ways: as games that are not wins (the most common choice in game profiles), as half a win (the convention in chess and many leagues), or left out entirely.

In matches-and-win-rate mode the tool rebuilds your wins as matches × win rate, rounded to a whole game: 320 matches at 52.5 % are 168 wins and 152 losses.

How many wins in a row to reach a target win rate

If you win the next x games, your win rate becomes (wins + x) ÷ (games + x). Setting that equal to the target T and solving gives x = (T × games − wins) ÷ (1 − T), rounded up. From 58–47 to 60 %: (0.6 × 105 − 58) ÷ 0.4 = 12.5, so you need 13 wins in a row. From 168 wins in 320 matches to 60 %: (192 − 168) ÷ 0.4 = 60.

A losing streak works the same way in reverse. While you are above the target, the number of losses you can take is wins ÷ T − games, rounded down.

How many games at a realistic win rate

If you win a share p of your future games, after n games you have wins + p × n wins in games + n games. To reach the target you need n = (T × games − wins) ÷ (p − T). At 65 % from 58–47 that is (63 − 58) ÷ 0.05 = 100 more games, with about 65 wins among them.

The formula shows a hard limit: your overall win rate only moves towards the rate you win at from now on. If p is not above the target, you will never reach it, however long you play, and the tool says so. The bigger your match count, the slower the overall number moves — which is why a new account’s win rate swings fast and an old one barely changes.

Good to know

  • Games often round the displayed win rate to one or two decimals, so totals rebuilt from it can be one game off.
  • The future-rate result is an average expectation. Streaks and slumps happen, so the real number of games can be quite different.
  • Win rate alone ignores who you play against. For skill ratings that do, see the Elo rating calculator; for fights, the K/D ratio calculator.

Win Rate Calculator FAQ

How do I calculate my win rate?

Divide wins by total games and multiply by 100. 30 wins in 50 games is 30 ÷ 50 × 100 = 60 %.

How many wins do I need to reach a 60 % win rate?

Wins in a row = (0.6 × games − wins) ÷ 0.4, rounded up. With 58 wins in 105 games you need 13 straight wins.

How does a Mobile Legends win rate calculator work?

Enter your total matches and current win rate from the profile, then the target. The tool rebuilds your wins and solves for the streak you need, the same way as for any game.

Why does my win rate barely change after a win?

Each game is a smaller share of your total as you play more. After 1,000 games one win moves the rate by only about 0.05 percentage points.

Can I ever reach a 100 % win rate?

Only if you have never lost. After one loss you can get closer and closer to 100 % but never reach it.

How should draws be counted?

Most game profiles count a draw as a game that is not a win. Chess and many leagues count it as half a win. Pick whichever your game uses.
