An audio visualizer that makes MP4 videos in your browser
This free audio visualizer turns a song, a beat or a podcast into a video that moves with the sound. Choose spectrum bars, a circle of bars around your cover, a glowing waveform line or a field of particles that bursts on the kick drum, put it over your own picture or a colour, add the title and artist, and download an MP4 for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or a music page — with no watermark.
The music never leaves your computer: the sound is analysed and every frame is drawn and encoded in your browser. Preview it with sound first, then render the whole song or just the best part.
How to use the Audio Visualizer Video Maker
- Drop an audio file, or press Try a generated beat.
- Pick a Style and a Format: 16:9 for YouTube, 1:1 for feeds, 9:16 for Reels and Shorts.
- Set the two colours and the background colour, or drop a Background picture and choose how it fills the frame and how much it is darkened.
- Type the title and artist. Raise Sensitivity for quiet tracks, lower it if the bars hit the top all the time.
- Press Play preview to watch it with sound. To use only part of the song, change Start and End.
- Press Create MP4. It renders at 30 frames a second and downloads when ready.
Audio Visualizer Video Maker features
Four styles
Spectrum bars, a rotating circle, an oscilloscope-style waveform with glow, and particles driven by the bass and treble.
Your branding
Two colours for gradients, a background colour or picture (fill, fit with blur, or fit on colour), title and artist text.
Real spectrum
A 2,048-point FFT of the music each frame, on a logarithmic scale from 70 Hz to 11 kHz, so bass sits on the left and cymbals on the right.
Live preview with sound
Scrub or play the preview before rendering.
Standard MP4
H.264 at 30 fps with AAC stereo sound, in 1080p or 720p.
No watermark, no upload
Free to use, and nothing leaves your device.
How it works
The chosen part of the audio is decoded once. For every video frame a Hann-windowed 2,048-sample FFT around that moment is grouped into logarithmic bands and scaled to the track’s own loudness, so quiet and loud songs both fill the picture; bars fall back smoothly instead of flickering. The frames are drawn on a canvas and encoded to H.264 with the browser’s WebCodecs encoder, and the open-source Mediabunny library (MPL-2.0) writes them with AAC sound into an MP4. The same spectrum engine draws the bars of the Podcast Clip Maker.
Tips for a great visualizer video
- Use 16:9 for a full song on YouTube; 9:16 with a 30–60 second hook for Reels, Shorts and TikTok.
- A square cover with “Fit, blurred copy behind” looks good in every format.
- Darken busy pictures so the bars and the title stand out.
- Rendering takes time: a three-minute song is 5,400 frames. 720p is about twice as fast as 1080p.
- For a still picture with no animation, the MP3 to MP4 with Image tool is much faster and gives a smaller file.
Rights and fair use
Only upload videos of music you own or have permission to use. Video sites match the audio against their catalogues whatever the visuals look like.
Audio Visualizer Video Maker FAQ
Is this audio visualizer free with no watermark?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no upload; the MP4 is made on your device.
How long can the video be?
Up to 10 minutes per video. Choose Start and End to render a part of a longer track.
Which style is best for YouTube?
Spectrum bars or the circle over the cover art are the classic music-channel looks; particles suit electronic music and ambient tracks.
Why does rendering take a while?
Every frame is analysed and drawn at 30 frames a second. 720p and a shorter part render faster; a recent laptop does a three-minute 1080p song in a few minutes.
Can I use my own background picture?
Yes. Drop any image; choose fill to crop it to the frame, or fit to show all of it over a blurred copy or your background colour.
Does it work on a phone?
In current Chrome and Safari, yes, but rendering is slower than on a computer. Try 720p.
