Make a ringtone that calls your name
This name ringtone maker turns a name into a phone ringtone: a voice says “Priya, आपका फ़ोन बज रहा है” or “Priya, your phone is ringing” over a background tune, the music dips while the name is spoken, and the result fades in and out like a real ringtone. Save it as an MP3 for Android or as an M4R file for iPhone.
Choose a computer voice — four Hindi and six English voices that run on your own device — or record the words yourself, or upload a clip. Pick one of seven original background tunes made right here (bansuri and tanpura, dhol, piano, marimba, lo-fi, music box or retro beeps), or use your own music file. It is a free name ringtone maker in Hindi and English with no sign-up and no watermark.

Your own voice
Record the words with your microphone or upload a clip — silence is trimmed and the level is set automatically.
Original background music
Seven tunes composed for this page and generated as you listen, so there is nothing to license. Or upload your own track.
Ducking and fades
The music drops smoothly just before each spoken name and comes back afterwards; fade-in, fade-out and levels are adjustable.
MP3 and iPhone M4R
MP3 at 192 kbps for Android and most phones; AAC in an .m4r file of up to 40 seconds for iPhone.
Private
Nothing is uploaded. The voice model and encoders download once and are kept by your browser.
How the name ringtone is made
The name and words are first turned into speech sounds. Hindi in Devanagari is read with the rules of the script — the inherent “a” after consonants, the silent final “a” (राहुल is rāhul, not rāhula), and nasal sounds for anusvara — and names in English letters are read the way Indian names are usually spelled. You can see and edit the result under Pronunciation. The sounds go to Kokoro-82M, an open text-to-speech model (Apache-2.0 licence) that runs on your device with WebAssembly.
The tune is synthesised note by note: plucked tanpura strings, a breathy flute, tabla and dhol strokes, piano, marimba and bells. Each spoken name is placed at even intervals; the music is lowered by the amount you choose (12 dB by default) starting 150 ms before the voice, then raised again over about a third of a second. A limiter keeps the peaks below −1 dB so the ringtone stays clean on phone speakers.
Setting it as your ringtone
iPhone ringtones can be up to 40 seconds long, which is the longest length offered here. Shorter ringtones (15–20 seconds) loop more often while the phone rings.
| Phone | File | How |
|---|---|---|
| Android | MP3 | Download on the phone (or copy it over), then Settings → Sound → Phone ringtone and choose the file. On some phones you tap “+” or “From internal storage”. |
| iPhone with a computer | M4R | Connect the iPhone and drag the .m4r file onto it in Finder (Mac) or iTunes (Windows); it appears in Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone. |
| iPhone without a computer | MP3 | Open the MP3 in GarageBand on the iPhone, then use Share → Ringtone. |
About music and voices
- Film songs and other commercial music are copyrighted, so this page does not offer them. If you upload music, it must be yours or licensed for this use.
- The built-in tunes are original and free to use in your ringtone.
- The Hindi computer voices are good but not perfect, especially for unusual names. For the most natural result, record the words in your own voice — or a friend’s.
- The voices built into your browser (the Web Speech API) cannot be used, because browsers do not let a web page capture or save that audio. That is why this page brings its own voice model.
- The voice model is a 88 MB download the first time; after that it starts from your browser’s cache. Making the voice usually takes 5–15 seconds on a laptop and longer on older phones.
