Audio Looper

Repeat a track or a selection N times, or up to a set length such as one hour, with a seamless crossfade.

Drop an audio file here or click to choose MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, FLAC or WebM · up to 20 minutes · never uploaded

Runs entirely in your browser — your audio is never uploaded. Encoders for MP3, M4A and FLAC (Mediabunny, MPL-2.0) or OGG (wasm-media-encoders, MIT) are downloaded from a public CDN only when you save in those formats.

Loop any audio and stretch it to the length you need

This audio looper repeats a sound so it lasts as long as you need. Loop a whole song, or drag across the waveform to pick just a drum pattern, a rain recording or a four-bar riff. Then repeat it a set number of times, or tell it a target length such as 10 minutes or one hour and it works out how many repeats fit.

Joins are smoothed with an equal-power crossfade: the end of one repeat blends into the start of the next, so the loop point does not click or pop. Set the crossfade from 0 to 5 seconds, or switch it off for tempo-exact music loops.

Long loops are written to the file one second at a time. The finished hour never sits in memory as raw samples, so a long result does not crash the tab. Your file is never uploaded.

How to use the Audio Looper

  1. Drop an audio file onto the box or click to choose one (up to 20 minutes).
  2. To loop only part of it, drag across the waveform or type the Loop starts at and Loop ends at times.
  3. Under Repeat choose A number of times and type the count, or Until a length and type the total in hours:minutes:seconds. For a length, say whether to stop exactly there or finish the last loop.
  4. Set the Crossfade. 50–200 ms hides most clicks. Use a longer crossfade for ambient sounds and none for loops cut exactly on the beat.
  5. Press Hear the loop point to listen to a few seconds either side of the first join, then choose a format and press Make the loop.

Audio Looper features

Whole file or selection

Pick any part on the waveform, or loop the full length.

By count or by length

Repeat 2 to 9,999 times, or build a loop of a target duration up to three hours.

Seamless crossfade

Equal-power crossfades up to 5 seconds, or none at all.

Fade-out at the end

Add up to 30 seconds of fade so a long loop ends gently.

Chunked encoding

The loop is generated and encoded in one-second pieces, so memory use stays small even for long outputs.

Size estimate

The plan line shows the final length and an estimated file size before you start.

How big will the file be?

The size depends on the format and quality, not on whether the sound repeats. These are approximate figures for stereo at 44.1 kHz.

Getting a loop that does not click

  • Cut on a quiet or repeating moment. Loops from rain, wind, fans, a hum or a pad hide their joins easily.
  • For music, choose start and end points on the same beat. Use the BPM Detector to find the tempo and calculate the bar length (60 ÷ BPM × beats per bar).
  • If you still hear a bump, lengthen the crossfade. Longer crossfades shorten each repeat by the same amount.
  • Preview the join with Hear the loop point before you commit to a long export.
  • To trim the file first, use the Audio Cutter. To add several different files together, use the Audio Joiner.

Common uses

  • Sleep, study and focus tracks such as rain, white noise or ambient music for an hour or more.
  • Practice tracks: loop a difficult passage again and again.
  • Game, video and presentation backgrounds that must run longer than the original clip.
  • Karaoke or dance practice with a chosen section repeating.

Audio Looper FAQ

How do I loop an MP3 for one hour?

Open the MP3, choose Until a length, type 1:00:00, set a short crossfade and press Make the loop. The tool repeats the whole file, or your selection, until it reaches an hour.

Will there be a click at the loop point?

A short crossfade removes it in most cases. If the loop start and end are different parts of a song the join may still be audible, so pick points on the same beat and preview the join.

What is the longest loop I can make?

Three hours. WAV files over about 1.5 GB are not recommended. MP3, M4A or FLAC are better for long loops.

Is it free and private?

Yes. It is free, with no sign-up or watermark, and your file is processed in your browser without being uploaded.

Does the output keep the original quality?

WAV and FLAC keep everything. MP3, M4A and OGG are lossy and are encoded again when saved.

Can I loop a video’s sound?

Extract the soundtrack with Video to Audio first, then loop it here.
